It could be, probably is, that I’m an inconsistent photographer. Or that there is real appeal in the ability of the human eye to see artfulness in blurred motion.
I don’t know.
“The shooter is the shot,” a photography teacher once told me. I never quite understood what the hell that meant.
But I can tell you from experience that I have had days in Tokyo that spun me around to where I couldn’t tell if it was me or the subject of my picture that was moving.
Yes, Tokyo has abundant energy, and rhythm.
And you have to bop to it, move with it, or get the fuck out of its way.
